Smallmouth: One of our favorite fish to pursue during the summer months are the aggressive smallies. On the fly they are willing to chase streamers and hit poppers on top. This is a great chance for beginners to learn the basics of fly casting and fighting fish. With a spinning rod you have the chance for some exceptional action. These are very strong fighting fish!

Steelhead: There is no doubt that the steelhead is the jewel of great lakes fishing. They provide great sport from mid-October through May when they make their journey from Lake Michigan into west side tributaries. These fish are available to anglers using a number of different fishing techniques. On the fly swinging streamers or bouncing eggs and nymphs. Maybe you prefer fishing plugs or spawn under a float with spinning gear. At Loki its your choice !

Salmon: Big fish with lots of attitude. Our favorite way to fish for salmon is with stick baits and spinning gear soon after they leave Lake Michigan. Trout: West michigan rivers are full of Browns and Rainbows. These fish can be caught all year long and provide great sport. Catching these fish requires many different methods during different seasons. In the fall trout gorge on eggs behind salmon redds in all rivers that get runs of Kings. Fall and spring fish will chase streamers and rapala's under the right conditions. With the coming of summer comes the many and varing hatches on our rivers. Matching the hatch of Grey Drakes and the famous Hex may give you some of the best dry fly fishing of the year. Again at LOKI these fish can be caught with a Fly or Spinning rod.
